Getting Started

In the late 1980s, Patricia Mulligan, RN, BSN, MS, was busily caring for patients at St. Paul, Ramsey Hospital. She was passionate about her vocation and was good at it, too. Yet no matter how hard she and her colleagues worked, there were times when her unit fell short-staffed and administrators couldn’t always find qualified professionals to fill in. Those made for very rough days on the floor.

Ms. Mulligan decided something had to be done. So she started a group of top-notch home care, medical, and dental professionals. She called her fledgling organization

Allied Professionals, Inc. (API). The rest is, well, history.

Keeping Ahead of the Pack

Today, Edina-based API has grown to 300 employees. Our company flourishes because we attract, recruit and maintain the best workforce in the industry. Then, we closely partner with our clients to ensure their expectations are not only met, but surpassed.

Just like our founder, API employees are passionate about their work. Our leadership team has been together almost two decades, establishing a network covering the Minneapolis-St. Paul, Minnesota 7-county area. Our sister compnay Royal Palms Concierge offers Home Watch and Concierge Services in SW Florida.
